Architect: Louis A. Simon (Washington, D.C.)


Louis A. Simon was supervising architect of the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 1933 to 1939. The U.S. Appraisers Stores on the Houston Ship Channel also bears his name.

Harris County purchased the building in 1978 and remodeled the interior. The county has announced that it intends to demolish the building.
